Environmental stewardship is an essential aspect of Tiveron Law’s philosophy and commitment to excellence. As a firm, we encourage our attorneys and staff to be actively involved in promoting sustainability. We have devised and implemented programs to conserve resources, reduce our carbon footprint, protect the environment, and promote sustainability to our people and the greater business community.
Tiveron Law counsels many clients involved in environmentally progressive ventures. We are passionate about green initiatives and have expanded our representations to work with private clients and organizations dedicated to protecting the environment.
Our Green Building:
In February of 2010, we relocated our central office to 2410 North Forest Road in Amherst, New York, where we serve as the anchor tenant in this state-of-the-art, 80,000 square foot, Class A, LEED-Silver Certified office building.
As a full-service law firm with 80+ employees, including over 30 attorneys, this move provided us with the necessary space for our continued growth. While the amount of space we occupy increases as we grow, our “green” building allows us to reduce our carbon footprint through many environmentally-friendly and productivity-enhancing features.
Paper Usage and Recycling:
Tiveron Law has instituted effective recycling practices and significantly reduced our paper consumption. We continually seek to minimize the volume of paper used in printing, copying, data storage, and communication. We have implemented software programs to reduce paper consumption for internal and external communications, documents, and case management.
In addition to paper recycling, we implemented a single streamlined recycling process in conjunction with our property management team to maximize our recycling efforts firm-wide.
Our LEED-Silver Certified registered building features energy-efficient lighting, heating, and other systems. In addition, our offices promote energy efficiency through motion-sensitive light switches and energy star-compliant office lights and appliances.
