Ashley Keavney is a dedicated attorney with a strong background in child welfare and family law. She has served as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender in New Jersey’s Office of the Law Guardian, where she represented children in abuse and neglect proceedings. Her experience includes courtroom advocacy, client counseling, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for her clients.
Ashley earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List and received a Family Law Certificate. During her time there, she participated in the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic, representing clients under New Jersey’s Student Practice Rules. Her legal education also includes externships with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, providing her with a broad perspective on legal processes and advocacy.
Prior to her legal career, Ashley pursued graduate studies in social work at Rutgers School of Social Work and completed her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies and Political Science at SUNY Fredonia. This interdisciplinary background informs her holistic approach to legal representation, particularly in matters involving vulnerable populations.
