Tiveron Law Attorneys at Law adds to Corporate Legal Team
Tiveron Law announces two prominent corporate law attorneys, Nathan McMurray and Christopher J. Milne, are joining the firm as it looks to expand its capabilities servicing all businesses, locally, nationally, and internationally.
Based in Tiveron Law’s Amherst office, Mr. McMurray brings deep experience working internationally as foreign legal counsel operating in Beijing, China and Seoul, South Korea. His experience advising U.S. businesses on investment projects, market strategy, acquisitions, and other matters in Asia, as well as his fluency in Korean and Mandarin, will be an immeasurable asset to the firm and area businesses looking to expand their prospects overseas. Mr. McMurray also acted as Senior Counsel for Samsung Electronics in Seoul, Korea, and may be recognized for his career in local politics as Grand Island Town Supervisor and his recent run as the Democratic candidate for Congress in New York’s 27th Congressional District.
Christopher J. Milne is a highly skilled and versatile corporate and transactional attorney with over two decades of experience. He works with clients to help them meet both short-and long-term business and operating objectives. Mr. Milne is a proven strategic and analytical problem solver and counsels clients in numerous areas related to their business, including corporate formation and restructuring, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, franchise agreements, complex commercial transactions, partnership agreements, and other transactional business-related matters. He will be serving clients out of the firm’s Amherst office.
Mr. Milne has significant experience in the area of veterinary law and counsels clients on matters including buying and selling veterinary practices nationwide. Mr. Milne has successfully represented both small and large veterinary practices in the sale of their practices to various corporate aggregators and is well versed in all veterinary, small animal, equine, bovine, and exotic animal business-related legal obligations, including regulatory matters, employment agreements, non-competes, partnership agreements, and lab services agreements.
The firm announced it is committing to building out its Cannabis Law Practice Team, of which Mr. McMurray and Mr. Milne will be at the helm.
“We are constantly evolving our firm so that we are meeting the legal needs of our business clients,” says Corey Hogan, partner, and founder of Tiveron Law. “As the legalization of cannabis is still in its infancy here in New York State, we hope to provide direction to area entrepreneurs as they attempt to develop their business plans, complete real estate transactions, understand the changing regulatory landscape for indoor/outdoor growing facilities, or look to secure their operators licenses.”
The new Cannabis Law Team will be comprised of attorneys from the firm’s Corporate and Business Law Team and The Real Estate Law Team.
