Legal Limelight #3

April 19, 2017

Legal Limelight, a weekly feature, includes a Q&A with one of our attorneys or valued employees. Keep reading to learn all about this week’s guest, Linda Lalli Stark, an Associate Attorney with Tiveron Law.

Q: How many years have you been with Tiveron Law?

A:  It will be two years this August. I started in August of 2015.

Q: How many years have you been practicing law?

A: I was admitted in 1985, I graduated Law School in 1984.

Q: What is your area of practice?

A:  I mainly do appeals, appellate work.

Q: Where did you attend school?

A: University at Buffalo for Law School and I went to Fredonia and Buffalo State College for my Undergrad.

Q: Why did you become a lawyer?

A: It wasn’t something I had planned on; I had always wanted to be a teacher. During my Senior Year at Buffalo State, I was a History Education major; a lot of people were applying for the LSAT. I thought I’d take it, too, to see what would happen. I applied to only one law school, UB, and I thought if I did get in, I’d go.  I ended up deferring my admission so I could teach for two years and I started law school after that.

Q: Why did you choose to practice in Buffalo?

A:  My family is here.

Q: What’s the one thing you wish your clients knew about you?

A: I usually don’t work with clients directly, but I’d like people to know I have a good sense of humor, many may not know about.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Buffalo?

A: Lombardo’s is my favorite.

Q: What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?

A: It’s really hard to pick just one because they’re all a little different, but my top three are Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney.

Q: Which is your favorite book?

A: One of my favorite books is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom

Q: Do you have any pets?

A: We had a Golden Retriever, Eddie. He was so loving, smart, and protective.
